Thought some people here might find this interesting. I bought (a while back now) a Peavey 1600x "MIDI controller" (see picture). It's not a keyboard, but a device with sliders and buttons that can be programmed.
By programming various MIDI controller numbers, and in some cases doing some HEX coding etc., I have created a "Part Editor" plus a device for quick access to lots of things for live playing.
Since the Peavey unit has many memories, I have one each for RIGHT1 editing, RIGHT2
editing, etc. - and another for live playing. The "editor" lets me edit things like effects depths, attack/release, EQ, vibrato, filter settings, etc.
For live playing, I have the buttons set to call up Panel Memories quickly. So, for ANY of the 104 presets in a loaded Bank, I can get to any preset with 2 buttons presses. Great for quick "between song" changes. The sliders for my live setup are for quicker control of volume and other parameters.
If anyone's interested, or has a PC-1600x and wants to try this, I can provide more info.
I'd post a picture, but can't figure out how! [If someone can tell me how to paste a picture into a message here, I'll do it ...]
